Tribal Health research Forum
Recognizing the critical health status of indigenous people in different parts of the country, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) proposed a holistic approach for reducing the burden of disease among these people. On 9th August 2010, the International Day of the world's indigenous people, ICMR initiated a Tribal Health Research Forum (THRF) with the mandate to address and discuss all the health issues pertaining to indigenous people. This forum meet once in every three months to look into the progress made and develop modulus operandi to meet challenges of health problems of the indigenous people.
